MARCH 21, 2011 Marked the Afghan New Year and the Second Anniversary of the Opening of the Amin Institute. On this day our boys celebrated the start of yet another promising year, and graduated from the third and fourth grades and to the fifth and sixth!! Before the start of the next school session, the boys enjoyed a well deserved vacation as we prepare to welcome 6 new children to our home! We are all very excited about this and can hardly wait to meet them and start the new school year off with an even larger family! |

A THOUSAND RAYS OF LIGHT: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
Omeid International thanks the Give Light Foundation for blessing the children of the Amin Institute with the honor of partaking in this inspiring night. On this night alone, Give Light welcomed over 700 supporters to help raise funds for two new Give Light orphanages in Asia and sponsorship to care for an 25 additional children in Afghanistan! |

GRADUATION DAY AT THE AMIN INSTITUTE
This Fall the staff and children of the Amin Institute celebrated graduation day into the third and fourth grades! Every graduation day is special at our school, because it is a great leap forward for these boys who just over a year ago never imagined having the privilege of an education. In just over one year these children have gone from total illiteracy to the third and fourth grades. The boys celebrate this occasion with great pride and show signs of empowerment and personal growth every day. For more details please refer to our Annual Report, to be released this Winter. |
